Updating my blog again because I have something partially exciting to share with you, but before I dive into that, allow me to note down some amazing and terribly heartbreaking things that happened these 2 weeks.
First things first, some of you are absolutely adorable and bothered to vote in the previous poll (scroll down if you have no idea what it was about) and I hope it gave you a little reminder to be a little happier :)
And next! If you’re interested to join National Healthcare-Medical Symposium 2015 as a participant, hesitate no longer and sign up soon! Registration closes on 25 April, so be quick. Sign up here: http://bit.ly/nhmedtakepart - looking forward to seeing you!
A couple of… special things happened in the past week and I think the overwhelming amount of positive vibes from last week drowned in my sea of sorrows this week but it’s alright – we can’t always expect life to go the way we want it to!! #philocrapnobodylikestohear
Ah! Wanted to share some pictures with you hehe, before they become too out of date to be mentioned. Went to Gardens by the Bay with J and YM last week and it was really a great experience interacting with the pioneer educators of Singapore.
And on Sunday, it was FBN’s and Lian’s birthday!
Organized a surprise party for FBN and I am immensely grateful to his closest friends for being incredibly nice people. He had his own little family gathering on Saturday and already invited them, so it didn’t make much of a sense for them to come on Sunday as well, but they did!! Thank you so much guys :) And of course every single guest who made their way down!! Apparently at one point, it was almost leaked it out to FBN but he understood the context differently so it did end up as a surprise – he really had no idea and was holding a bunch of tissue paper as he entered the function room. To those who couldn’t make it, it’s perfectly fine! Couldn’t invite many people because of the space and food constraint (though we did end up with a lot of extra food and I had brownies/egg sandwiches over the next few days for breakfast) D:
Also thought the party will be pretty awkward but I hope it didn’t turn out too bad! Thank you to the boys for being very fun-loving hahah, and Jie & Weili for being great hosts.
And of course Mama for preparing the venue, food and logistics! I LOVE UuuUUUuuUUuUuu
I made a video to compile some of the footage recorded that day, and you cannot view this on mobile platforms because of the copyrighted music tracks :( It isn’t very well-edited but I hope it’ll capture some of the fun moments!
Edit: It might work on your phone if it’s embedded in my blog post, so try it out! But if you’re on your desktop, it’s definitely okay.
Didn’t manage to record all the dares though!
Please don’t close it halfway – fast-forward the parts you think are boring, you need to watch a pretty damn amazing footage towards the end. HAHA.
By the way, Iron Man balloon pretty amazing too? Not very sexy but still you have to admit you need quite a lot of skills for this.
I really love these girls a lot HAHAHA
On Monday, QTPF celebrated Lian’s birthday!
We ate sushi/udon from Umi Sushi outside the MRT and it started drizzling, so we quickly finished up and dashed our way to Sunday Folks.
If you have been to Sunday Folks @ Chip Bee Gardens, you’d know that it isn’t exactly near the front of the road, and we climbed our way up only to find that it was closed (it was Monday!!!!!!!!!) and we had to dejectedly make our way back to The Daily Scoop (we went there the other time)… Sunday Folks plans have been going on for a very long time now :(
Photo-taking spree followed and Lian & I simply couldn’t get decent-looking photos, at the photo ended up being at the supermarket and Sue took it HAHA – she was so annoyed. I love you guys plenty :)
Wanted to instagram this one instead but the blur wasnt nicely done, so Im just going to put it here to share with you. Showing you my insecurities HAHAHA
Update: Just went back to TCN with my babies and snapped some photos!
It’s been a long, long time since I’ve last been part of a CCA session and I miss those days a lot a lot a lot!!! Nanyang was a great part of my life.
Some pictures to show y’all:
Not sure how many of you will see this, but jiayou juniors! I was really impressed by the full run just now :)
This week though was really an unhappy one for me, maybe because of stupid petty reasons and never-seen-before results.
It is so superficial to be upset over examination results and completely ridiculous (not quite in Singapore’s context), and the last time I ever got such terrible grades for a legit examination (i.e. not lame tests/quizzes) was probably for Japanese. I think that was the only time I experienced a complete “WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON” in a paper prior to JC2 (kids, please study harder and pay attention before it accumulates) and failed it terribly. Haha, I can still remember the days I was betting on getting all 10 marks from Kanji (basically memorising vocabulary and learning the strokes as well as the Hiragana) because other sections will be disappointing… Strangely though, while it has been painful, the sense of satisfaction fulfilment after Os and JLPT N3 was overwhelming. Let’s hope history won’t repeat itself again for upcoming examinations – we need to get our sh!t together ok? Please fist-bump me back. I am extending a fist towards you, in a very friendly way. And of course if you’ve done well I’m happy for you too :) If you haven’t, you know I’m here. (Btw if you are rolling your eyes, stop it. You’re rude.)
Ahh! And my blog post title.
I was doing Permutations and Combinations questions earlier on, and while I was feeling bitter because P&C is confusing (though I admit it is very interesting and intriguing because I’d love to find out how many ways there are to sit myself and my friends around a round table, with only me being allowed to sit next to FBN……….. which tallies to 0, so I will not sit my friends on a round table and have a meal with them – I AM KIDDING BY THE WAY before you think I’m some psycho woman)
And P&C doesn’t only stand for Permutations and Combinations by the way. It can stand for a lot of other things that are very relevant to me (and maybe you):
- Puking and Crying (after a week of terror)
- Planning and Control (how to save myself from BT1)
- Point and Click (to edit this text box to publish the post)
- Publishing and Copyright (very relevant to this post)
- Private and Confidential (this space for you and me)
- Petroleum and Chemical (upping game for Chem, the subject I’m most afraid of)
- Phases and Cycle (this is just a phase of life)
- Poop and Crave (food habits)
- and many others that I don’t think you want to read anymore because of how pointless this list is, though technically there are many bullet points
Please forgive me for that ^
By the way!! Really want to try this with FBN some day hehehe. I need this princess sumo suit.
Hope you guys had a great week – if it went awfully wrong like mine did, it’s alright. I’m here with you.
See you soon!
(Abrupt ending, but I will be back soon)
