Hello guysssssssssss! :D
Back from Europe today (this morning 8.14am to be exact) :D
And Im pretty happy to be back but so many stuff are waiting for me over the rainbow.
So before I slide over the rainbow, Im going to blog about my Europe trip over here!
And have i told you how much I love the trollface. Hahaha though its ugly and all its so funny. Chuckle. @mayyyyyyyble (Yup i know this isnt twitter.)
Okay so anyway Day 1 was on the plane.
Took almost a thousand photos and its mad crazy ok so Im just going to upload some random ones and those with people in it. Hahah
Okay so lets start NEHEHEHEHE.
I like writing my wordpress on full screen it makes me feel so unrestricted.
Day 1 and 2
Hahaha technically we went on to the plane and got off the plane on the same day. Europe’s 7h behind Singapore yahoo haha.
So it was 6+am when we reached Munich, got out of the airport officially and we got on the bus and ok this is boring. Had a stopover after 2h drive and we were on the way to Vienna! The stopover had this popcorn machine and after we changed coins we realised the machine wasnt working. :( But yeah ok i moved on instead of banging the machine.
And you should realize that not all the photos at facebook are photos from a 14day trip! I got lazier and because it was so troublesome to take out my camera and what not I only took pictures when I felt like it or when my sister’s camera had no battery. So if she ever uploads her photos and you are her friend on FB you can go check her stuff out haha it’ll form a complete collection of photos. (our albums i mean)
so ya we went to the palace and it was pretty and all but then eventually you will realise that there are 123456789 other palaces like that in Europe and you will either get more interested or find the grass around more interesting. As for whether I got more interested, thats for me to know and you to find out ;)
Ok im talking to shinler and juneyu right now and they’re pretty lame
Back to point! Ya and another point to note: there are lots of weird sculptures that are not fully-clothed. Yes. You get it.
Especially in one city oh my god that whole place was like i-dont-even-know-what-to-say.
Hahaaha okay so i think we spent the whole afternoon touring the palace and the garden and the sky started getting darker at like 4.30 already! We had some shopping time at some street which had Swavroski and yeah we had dinner around that area (: The soup was awesome and the main course was like “what is this?” and the dessert was one-bite-and-stop-eating ya. The main course is supposedly deep-friend beef with bread crumbs but it didnt taste like beef/chicken/pork and i hope its not some kind of weird meat.
Then we went back to the hotel (the only hotel i took pictures of) and turned in for the night after eating some snacks.
Day 3 and 4
Its pretty hard remembering where I’ve gone on the various days! But on Day 2 we went to Budapest. Ok Budapest is made out of 3 parts Buda and Pest and something else ok it sounded damn funny to me in the beginning but we must learn to embrace differences right June and Shin? HAHAHA okay yeah anyway it’s my favourite city of all! The night view is like so pretty and ya thats the only reason why. NAH JUST JK. It’s quite cool-looking also. The travelling and all took up quite some time and we had dinner in some hungarian restaurant! It was in some ulu place and at first we couldnt find it! They had some gypsy dance and the girl dancer put a jar of wine on her head and danced with it. This sounds a bit ridiculous but ya its real. Then they had live music – 3 dudes playing yangqin and double bass and violin! And this super cute aunty from the group made her daughter take pictures with them and even got their autographs. LIKE SERIOUSLY. hahahhahahah. I mean the yang qin was like super cool! And this woman came and sing in a super high voice HAHA.
Day 4 – City tour! Had cruise along River Danube at 4.30! It was dark already then and I swear though it was so freaking cold it was so beautiful :D And I remember dinner was Macs and it was super funny cos I had to walk to Macs with my dad to buy dinner because im a good kid and nature called for it. Yup so we dashed there (it wasnt a very short distance ok from the bus and we had to turn here turn there) and dashed back within 20 minutes – reporting time was 6.30 latest if not the bus will drive off without us. And we got back at 6.23 which is pretty early already ok!
Ok on the city tour for Budapest the tour guide was being super annoying haha because he had like wrinkles all over his face already and he seems like the type who has 9 children and he kept flirting with everyone (maybe not the guys) and all the older aunties got mesmerized by how annoying he was and frantically bought stuff he recommended. Ok end of story :)
Then spent 2 nights in Budapest I think and the hotel was quite urghish. Hahahah.
Day 5 and 6
Headed to Krakow, Poland and yupppppp thats it. HAHAHA kidding. Along the way we went to Pandolf for shopping at factory outlets! We had city tour and we saw lots of churches and chapels that day! The tour guide was super commited and he carries this black umbrella with him and he dresses all black and he looks a bit funny but yeah he was super serious. We went to a palace too where we saw this dragon sculpture that could spit out fire. Like literally hahaha. And toured around like bosses and free time after lunch! I braved the cold with my dad (again) and sourced for food cos I was hungry like crazy before lunch and I managed to get hot chocolate. I think I drank 987654321 cups during my stay there! Kept going starbucks
for free wififor warmth. ^-^
Ok and so we had a little free time from 11.35 or so till 12.30 because a church only opened in 12.30 and it is a super pretty church so we just had to go there :D It’s apparently one of the prettiest churches in the world and no photography was allowed! but yeah it was really pretty though I dont go to churches usually. Yup so after that we went for lunch at some restaurant that the tour guide kept stressing on was 700 hundred years old. It felt pretty underground-ish but it was really warm in there (: The food was quite scary yup so thats it for lunch! Then we had free time it was goooooooodd :) Shopping time for my mum and sis again LOL. We went salt mine as well! You had to pay to take photos I mean they’re all available on the net already – Y U NO LET IT BE FREE. Okay so ya my camera was used in the salt mine and Im not uploading the photos
because im so dang lazybecause im a goody-two-shoes. Ok im getting kinda confused about the days. So they may be inaccurate! You know your brain doesnt function that well when you’re on a holiday HAHHA! The hotel… I cant remember what it looks like oh my god. :O Hahahaha.
Day 7 and 8
Still at Krakow, we went to the concentration camp >: It was really a super depressing place to go! Thinking about all those people who suffered I dont really know why they opened the place for visiting. There are 2 camps – the smaller one was the original one then the bigger one was the newer one because the first one was too small to accomodate all the victims :( The second one was pretty abandoned already and never really built finished but the first one was kind of like restored for museum purposes. The people were like tricked to go to the camps – they thought they were going to lead a new life so they brought stuff they thought would aid them in that case but who knows they were actually going to die in gas chambers >: Ok going to stop talking about such a mood-dampening topic! Comfort here is that the Germans did apologize afterwards.
We went Prague, Czech Republic afterwards and Prague is
quite pretty too! Free time on Day 7~! On Day 8, there’s city tour! We went Charles Bridge and there was this sculpture there was supposed to grant you your wish if you touched it yup and guess who touched it? I mean a whole Japanese tour group was there taking photos and you cant miss it because of the whole group of people around it. And the flood from 2002 at the area was ridiculous – it reached a super high level and they even made markings. Ok if you see some weird out-of-place words in this post, forgive me because my thoughts are getting incoherent and i just spelt “made” as “maid”. *moment of consciousness* And ya more free time I guess ><
Day 9, 10 and 11
Passed by Slovokia on the way to Berlin.
Berlin is a pretty cool place as well! :D City tour right in the morning as usual and because in the bus you can only hear the tour guide first thing cos shes sitting down and you cant see her face unless you walk to the front and stand right in front of her and observe how she looks. She sounded not really like a German and yup shes Korean. Her name is pronounced as ?-kou. Hahhaa yup ok. And the first stop was at a parliament place i think! And got off took photos before coming back on again. And the second place were many many stone blocks which commemorate the Jews. They are of unequal height and width and volume and they seemed to be placed in this messy order but it actually shows that how the Jews’ lives are not easy to live at that Hitler period of time. Apparently some 17-year-old French boy jumped from block to block and died of a head concussion. o.o Its pretty disrespectful to be stepping on the blocks already and seriously jump from block to block?? Okay enough of that. So yup she talks non-stop not even kidding. And we went to Charlie Checkpoint – Berlin Wall you see. And if you see two rows of stones on the road of Berlin it is most probably remains from the Berlin wall. if youre around that area of course. So yup ok maybe not remains since its deliberately left there but yup! And the museum was pretty cool because they showed some escape methods people used to actually cross the Berlin Wall and some were so ridiculous but they worked nonetheless :D And went to several other places. Lunch was edible HAHA the appetizer wasnt soup though – salad. D: And the main course was quite nice and the dessert was terrifying. The highlight is at 2.30/3+ where we went to the biggest shopping centre in Germany or something called KaDeWe. Its a pretty cute name haha car-the-wee or thats how the tour guide pronounces it. Before that we went to some Christmas Market but my family didnt enter it so we went to this traffic man shop! I forgot the name but its so ridiculously cute :D So the big deal about KaDeWe is a magnificent stall which sells curry saussages. I mean its a popular food in Berlin according to the tour guide! So the tour guide went on and on and on and on about curry saussages and she was like “you have to try the curry saussages” about 99999999999999999999 times and so the big deal about the curry saussages is that its not actually curry flavour. Its just a saussage drowning in ketchup (it cant be seen at all mind you) with supposedly chilli powder on it. And she said you can buy fries to go along with it because there is so much ketchup its worth it to buy fries to dip in the ketchup. So after all this big deal about curry saussages my dad wanted to try so he did. So this curry saussage is just a poor saussage DROWNED in ketcup. Ok this sounds damn gross and wrong and stuff but seriously its just saussage and ketchup. AND ITS NOT THAT AWESOME-TASTING. And the best thing is this stall she strongly recommended was tended by a Korean as well. The whole time to KaDeWe was 99.9% about curry saussages ._.
Ok so KaDeWe wasnt so cool as we expected it to be? D: It felt like Taka but not really hahaha idk. Then dinner was at some Chinese place and it was not bad eh though the tour guide said it was terrifying and we kinda concluded what she said cant be trusted lol. The Xiao Long Bao was quite scary though. Y U NO SOUP? Okay anyway we had to walk back to the hotel afterwards you know since its a five-minute walk which it wasnt! and though we felt like taking a cab we didnt! So we walked and walked and walked and walked. And we kinda didnt know where to go then just nice an old couple walked past and although they could have ignored us they took the trouble to look at our map and told us where to go. And we reached the hotel alright LOL. The tour guide’s instructions were like off by quite a bit. So yup. And er the hotel is one of my favourites in the trip :D Though there wasnt space to put any luggage but it was still cool (: Then yup thats it two days at berlin (and two nights).
On the way to Munich! The whole day was basically travel! It was supposed to be 8.5h from Berlin to Munich but it flew by with all the stopovers and sleep :) Hahahaha which is good. So we reached the place slightly earlier than expected haha. Dinner was a nightmare. The soup was like oh-my-goodness. And when the soup is terrible it hints that the rest will be worse. According to merit you see. Experience gained along the way. So theres this moment of victory when you realise you settle lunch/dinner on your own. Hell yeah! Okay anyway the soup right was FRIED PEARLS IN SOME BROWNISH-YELLOWISH SOUP. Ok fried pearls. Not those pearls in bubble tea you know (although i think if they were fried they’ll be quite terrifying as well). They made this little spheres (selection of word is important) out of idk-what-kind-of-flour and the cross-section is spongy. Like whats-that-plant-i-forgot. Water hyacinth? Ok I do not know. They do not taste good. At all. The soup was salt water and it was like… ok simply put the smell of those weird pearls dissolved into the salt water. And the whole soup was goodness gracious. Then main course was a GRILLED CHICKEN LEG. seriously. It wasnt thattttttttttttt bad but the smell from the soup simply couldnt leave the tastebuds you see. It pollutes everything. Hahaha this section is hilarious. And the dessert is goosebumps-inducing with this red thing drizzled over the beigey-looking spongy thing and I tried it and oh my god it tastes as horrible as it looks. Ok full-stop. The best thing of the meal is definitely the cup of water.
Munich city tour – the tour guide was a lullaby. She talked non-stop and suddenly you’ll realize her voice doesnt seem to leave your head because she wouldnt stop talking hahaha so yup i did sleep while she was rambling on and on and on. And we saw snow :D Although she said it wasnt but whatever its counted in my dictionary! I think we were supposed to see in the trip but Earth is getting screwed up by people like us and it didnt snow at all from the beginning. And so it was quite cool – reconnected with the snow from the window. HAHAHA it has beeen a long time since i last saw snow. Right. And this woman was driving a convertible in winter because her plants were placed upright and fastened with seat belts it was so ridiculous I was laughing so bad! And with the wind and everything I bet the woman was really cold. And the tour guide called her stupid HAHAHAH. You have to understand that the tour guide is different in every city hahaha i hope you got that point HAHAHAHA. Okay so anyway we went to this BMW place hahahaha and some other places which Im too lazy to elaborate on. And yup Munich is pretty cool too (:
Technically the last day in Europe – and when we reached the airport it snowed! Like really snowed. Hahahhahahahaha it was so cool (HAHAHAH GET IT? COOL?) ok anyway so yup we stayed outdoors waiting to get our luggage and i had my second reconnection and i had to get indoors because it was so cold! Hahahah. Flight was scheduled to be at 1+pm but the plane only took off at like almost 2 or later than that! So glad to be going back to Singapore but thinking about all the things i had to do… sigh.
The day I reach Singapore! 13h flight and I didnt really sleep in the plane. Watched so many stuff and I wasnt really sleepy >< Till the end got abit tired hahaha! It was 1+am in Munich but 8+ in Singapore. But when I got home today I slept from 10+am/11am to 5pm! Sleeping in the middle of the day is pretty cool haha. I didnt even realize. *inserts MOTHER OF GOD trollface* Hahaha so now its 12.12am while im typing this crazy long post and I bet you couldnt even follow because I refuse to upload any photo here haha except for the singer. whoohoo. all your concentration can be placed on her! So hope you've been reading because its so cool and i spent the night typing this while multi-tasking. HAHAHAHAH so if you're someone who wants to go Europe i hope i havent changed your view and maybe strengthened that desire HAHAHAH ok this sounds wrong. But its really a pretty place all in all and you'll get used to the cold somehow and that kind of chilly feeling you get is something you'll never be able to feel in Singapore haha with this humid weather/climate GAH. But when youre there you think of how warm Singapore is – people are never satisfied with what they get anyway ONLY UNTIL YOU REACH A LEVEL OF ENLIGHTENMENT but not every single person on Earth has reached that level haha. But many have. Ok I do not know what I am talking about.
SO thats its for my post on Europe. You can refer to my facebook pictures as you read this post they're in order. But some stuff arent and most scenery is taken on the bus so maybe if you're some scary freak you'll scrutinize every photo and realise some have the reflection of the bus/my camera. And scenery is like when travelling from place to place so whoohoo maybe they wont really help but you'll get the idea of how the place looks like generally (: Its a pretty and the views of some rivers are just breath-taking hahaha but food plays an important role as well. If you're given like a plate of chicken cutlet with fries one day, its yummy like idk-what. But if you're given that kind of food or spaghetti or western food for like 14 days straight, you'll start craving for fish bee hoon/laksa/chicken rice/maggie noodles and all those delicacies found in Singapore of course (i mean thats if youre a Singaporean.) If you're not I dont know what you'll crave for but seriously hahahahah food is priority. Without air, water and FOOD, living things will die and will be unable to ensure the continuity of their own kind. Over there there'll definitely be air and water unless youre going into a vacuum cleaner or something or space then air is your first priority!
Ok this post has 3450 words.
