It has been a pretty intense week – but it was one that left me feeling happy (and deadbeat tired).
This week, I learnt quite a bit about myself.
So read on to find out more.
What I Learnt About Myself This Week
#1 I am obsessed with watermelons.
Yum yum yum.
I never knew my obsession was that bad, but now I do. I live for watermelons.
I really do.
Even though I’ll desperately need to empty my bladder about 20 minutes later.
True love transcends all boundaries.
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while now, you might recall I had a post previously involving watermelons where I shared some fun facts.
Here are more.
a) Watermelon juice may relieve muscle soreness.
b) Watermelon is a fruit AND a vegetable.
c) It’s really mostly water – stay hydrated with watermelons!
d) Watermelon contains more lycopenes than tomatoes – lycopenes decreases stroke risk and is shown to have potential anti-cancer activity!
e) I love watermelons. So you should as well.
#2 I can actually craft miniatures (that aren’t perfect, but still look pretty decent HAHA)
This is Jocelyn, who was the teacher for the Miniature Basket of Bread Workshop :)
(She runs the absolutely amazing Aiclay – please check it out)
Crafting tools with clay that were provided :)
Finished products – hahaha left being FBN’s and right being mine!
So thankful for his presence haha and adorable moments when he shouted in frustration how he couldn’t seem to do some stuff (and how easily his croissant tails broke because of his immense strength).
Basically we made 2 croissants with chocolate frosting, 2 hot cross buns and one long baguette (cut into two).
At first the hot cross buns (first item we made) became burnt in the oven, but you have no idea how grateful I am that happened because my original buns (haha) were pretty revolting.
Real life comparison! Mini vs Life-size! :)
Final product! Wahahaha.
I was so happy the entire day man.
Miniatures really make my day ^^
Thank you Jocelyn for the super duper fun workshop – time flew by without me really realising it at all!
#3 I don’t really know how to communicate with elderly who show no interest in playing with me
Honestly want to make this as honest as possible… I realised that I don’t really know how to cope with uninterested and indifferent elderly who don’t seem to respond to me. I guess this is because in all my past experiences in which I interacted with elderly, they seemed to have a lot of things to share and it was easy to talk to them. However, the visit to SAS really serves as a meaningful experience – need to step my game up and really try to eradicate all barriers unless they’re really really uncomfortable then I’ll go away. I am not the type to harass. Haha.
All the same, I had the pleasure of interacting with a very kind and enthusiastic elderly who gave many life advice – about holding on to people who matter, importance of learning the basic languages (English and Chinese) and he encouraged Joey and me to become police officers in the future. He was very lovely. :)
Hoped the elderly enjoyed the performances and durian!
Group photo with all the interactors!
#4 I have an amazing best friend
I love you babe. :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
Thank you for this super pretty and amazing card!!!!!! I love it. I love you. HAHAHA.
One more event we can kope photos from when making cards.
I HOPE YOU LOVE MY PRESENT/CARD AS MUCH AS YOU LOVE ME
And jiayou for PW and school and everything else!
#5 I am fully capable of enjoying myself at HHN4/USS
I must say that over the past years, my sister has always asked me to go to the Halloween Horror Nights with her @ USS but I refused because I iz scaredy cat.
But yesterday, after going to HHN4 and having a whale of a time, I realised it was really my emotions scaring me more than the actual stuff. This was said by my favourite beefy babe (before RotM)!!
(Even though she screamed my name in public when she was scared – yes babe you did, no matter how fervently you deny)
In summary, HHN4 was strangely satisfying and super duper fun.
I think it’s mainly because of the company :) :) :)
Basically heres what we did (Express pass does wonders)
1. The L.A.B.
2. MATI Camp
3. Revenge of the Mummy
5. Jack’s Nightmare Circus
6. Jing’s Revenge
It was damn exciting walking past the long long queues haha and it’s really good to get the Express pass so you can cover as much as possible within that period of time!
We also went to 3 scare zones (the fourth was Boogeyman I think) and the haunted house we didn’t go was the Jack 3-Dementia one!
Very pleased with everything haha, even Revenge of the Mummy, even though I hate sitting on (high-speed) roller coasters (with tilting, climbing, dropping and all that other bullcrap)!!
Strangely our photo during the ride didn’t show up? Like it was super weird because there were photos of an ENTIRELY EMPTY carriage and one of the track, while the rest were photos of other people. Hahaha. Yikes.
Anyway I can’t really remember when exactly we sat the accelerator, but I think it’s after RotM.
Accelerator was the most ridiculous ride of the night HAHA it was great still.
Don’t wanna give too much away BUT IT WAS REALLY REALLY FUN.
Oh and you MUST go for the nightmare circus show (there are fixed timings so please check that out) because the stunts/performances was hella amazing. I swear. You won’t regret it!!
Thank you for the company!
Here are the photos:
DENG DENG DENG GUESS WHO I SAW!! HAHA fate with my favourite raspbaby!
(Junhong’s face was like that in every single photo)
MY BAE (lol yikes) and Mint Chocolate Ice-Cream!! (I was sweaty and gross)
With a pretty woman HAHAHA
HD photos are the best.
Can you see my eyes?
Transformers!! (Loved it – sat in the exact same spot as the one I did in Orlando’s USS)
Planet Yen with the Yen (Yee)
The glowing sign actually says “Jing’s Revenge”!
This my bae
This also my bae
HAHAHA IM GOING TO STOP IT WITH THE BAE THING HAHAHAHA it’s quite disturbing
#6 (Almost) half of my blog readers are mighty dirty
I don’t know what to feel about this.
It is great knowing your priorities though – it’s alright. I understand.
And for all you sneaky people who think that you can choose not to shower but bathe instead, no. You can’t do that either.
You have chosen to be dirty for the rest of your lives.
Here’s today’s poll of the day:
Because I know I’d rather go to a haunted house and YY would rather sit on a roller coaster. Haha.
See you all friends :)
Mum just hugged me and told me she loves me, in case after tomorrow she’s gonna kill me.
I love all of you.
Thanks for reading!
P.S. Have you guys seen this before?
It’s delicious. Now they have it in this tube form rather than packet – this makes eating 100x more convenient.
P.P.S. Secretly damn scared for tomorrow and beyond ):
